The conclusion to Virgin River Season 4 finally confirmed who the father was in Mel and Jack’s ongoing custody battle, promising more drama going into Season 5.

Who is the father of Mel’s baby in Virgin River?

The conclusion to Season 4 revealed that Jack was the biological father of Mel’s baby and the test also revealed that they were having a girl.

The couple had put off doing the test for the whole of Season 4 with Mel’s mother-in-law hanging a custody battle over their heads. 

Furthermore, the Season 4 conclusion also saw drama arise when Charmaine suffered a panic attack whilst five months pregnant.

Mel and Jack arrive at Charmaine’s house where the latter reveals that Todd is leaving her and also states that she’s been lying to Jack about him being the father of the twins.

Virgin River Season 5

Fans of the long-running series will be glad to know that Virgin River has already been renewed for a fifth season.

Seasons 4 and 5 were renewed back in September 2021 by Netflix and it is thought Season 5 will carry the same episode count as Season 4 – two extra episodes.

There is no official release date for Season 5 yet, however, What’s On Netflix predicted that Virgin River’s fifth season will likely arrive by summer 2023.
