Our sweet and lovable feline friend seemed to have gotten themselves into a bit of a pickle during the Stray gameplay.

Whether you’re a cat fan or not (let’s hope you are now though), BlueTwelve Studio’s latest furry endeavor has taken the gaming world by storm. Let’s face it, it’s a cat’s world anyway and now we have a video game to prove it. From jumping across rooftops and knocking over items from shelves, Stray allows players to live their best cat self.

Even in a game this cute and amazing, those pesky bugs and glitches can still appear as one player found out.

While out prowling the neon streets and dark alleys in Stray, Reddit user Lindsiiiiii came across a strange glitch that saw the ginger moggie go head first into the ground. In the short clip showcased on Reddit, Stray is seen to be stuck with its back end waving around in the air. As the player tried in vain to get the kitty the right way up, the poor cat only drags itself along the floor which turns this wholesome game into something from a horror title.

Thankfully, our feline friend manages to get itself together as seen in the last second of the video. Like anyone else watching the clip, one comment asks “How do you do that.. I want to try it” with Lindsi replying “I honestly don’t even know how it happened, one minute I was walking normal and the next minute I was not lol”.

I’m “head over heels” in love with this glitch from stray

Another comment under the Reddit video has their own story to tell regarding a strange situation while playing Stray.

“Here’s a fun one. Right when you enter the upper city or right when you’re leaving it, go into the fenced off area with the single robot that doesn’t talk to you, stand on the ledge behind the radio and then look at the radio to get the prompt to turn it off and on.” says Spoon_Elemental “If you press it the cat will glide over to the radio to press the button and immediately snap back into place after doing so.”

Having played and reviewed Stray, I can’t say that I’ve seen any weird bugs or glitches but this makes me want to replay it to see if I can find some. (like I needed another excuse to dive into this game again).

Stray is available to play right now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
