The trailer for Halloween Ends was released this week, with the movie set to hit theatres on October 14 – with Jamie Lee Curtis back for one more nightmare fight for her life.

The final instalment in the franchise will allow viewers to watch the ultimate confrontation between Laurie Strode (Curtis) and villain Michael Myers.

Halloween Ends is the follow-up to Halloween Kills, which was released last October.

Jamie Lee Curtis stars in Halloween again

Curtis will be taking on the role of Laurie once again, over 40 years after she first played the role of the protagonist.

The film also stars Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney. Curtis told Vogue that she remembers carrying Richards on her back on the last day of filming the first movie in 1978.

“She was a little girl on that set and suddenly there we were, 40 years later as two grown women with families of our own,” she said.

A scream queen who hates horror

Despite her prolific roles in horror movies, Curtis doesn’t actually like the genre due to the fact that she scares easily, and doesn’t like being frightened.

“It’s just ironic that I ended up making my living by being scared,” she told Vogue last year.

However, Curtis explained to Entertainment Weekly that this is why she is so good at being in horror movies.

“It’s a natural response for me. I’ve had this awakening. Why did I end up making my mark in a genre that I loathe? I would be one of those people who would say, you couldn’t pay me to go to a horror movie. Because I hate it. [But] actually, you can pay me to be scared and you can pay me well!” she said.

Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon’s first film was in the original Friday The 13th, in which he played a camp counsellor. His character suffered a gruesome death as a hand grabs his head and an arrow comes up slowly through his neck. Shortly after the movie came out, Bacon starred in Footloose, which is what made him a household name.

Crispin Glover

Just one year before starring in Back To The Future, Crispin Glover snagged one of his first roles in Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter. This was the fourth film in the franchise, and Glover only had a minor role as a teenager.

Seth Rogen

Although he did have a role in the Freaks and Geeks TV series, a young Seth Rogen got his first movie role in the 2001 hit Donnie Darko. He played a stereotypical high school bully in the cult film.

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp got his big break when he starred in A Nightmare On Elm Street – and came to a pretty brutal end! It was a couple of years after that when the TV show 21 Jump Street made him a household name.

Jennifer Aniston

While she may be known for having her start in Friends, Aniston actually starred in the 1993 comedy horror movie Leprechaun. This was her film debut, alongside Warwick Davis who played the titular role.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is yet another celebrity who began his extensive career with a horror movie. He played the role of Josh in Critters 3, a direct-to-video sequel to the horror-comedy series.
