Manchester City talent Kayky is reportedly on the verge of leaving the Premier League champions to sign for Pacos de Ferreira on loan for the season, with the Brazilian teenager set for his first taste of European football.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year-old winger landed in Porto yesterday to complete his medical ahead of signing for Pacos for the year, with Kayky only joining City in January of this year, where the Brazilian wonderkid only made one professional appearance for the Manchester giants.

Regarded as one of South America’s most exciting talents, City spent a reported £15m to sign Kayky from Brazilian giants Fluminense, with big things expected for the forward in the coming years if he can develop in Europe, with Pacos the youngster’s first real test on the continent.

The Portuguese side finished 11th last season in the league and will be looking to improve on this position for the new campaign, and signing Kayky is an exciting move for Pacos, with City having some incredible success of loaning out youngsters to the Primeira Liga in recent years.

Pedro Porro was loaned out to Sporting Lisbon on an 18-month loan spell that became permanent this summer, with the likes of Nahuel Ferraresi also finding Portugal to be an incredible league for development, and Kayky could be the next City player to benefit from this.

Indeed, Kayky has the potential to become a superstar for City, and this loan move to Pacos could be the making for the Brazilian youngster, who is in need of regular first-team football this season, something the teenager simply would not have got had he stayed in Manchester for the year.

The hype surrounding City signing Kayky back in 2021 was something that the club had not seen before from such a young player, and this season, the winger has the potential to showcase his talents with his loan move to Pacos, which could be an incredible deal for all parties involved.

After all, Pacos are an ambitious side who last season almost qualified for European football had it not been for Tottenham, and for Kayky, the attacker is in the perfect country and the perfect league to develop his game and to return to City next year an improved player with vital experience under his belt.
