Napoli want Giovani Lo Celso as they eye the Tottenham Hotspur ace as a replacement for potential West Ham United signing Piotr Zielinski.
The Serie A club don’t particularly want to lose Zielinski but West Ham are pushing for a major midfield addition.
Reports in Italy claim that West Ham have only offered £17million for Zielinski, whereas Napoli want around £34million.
That means there is a lot of work to be done for Zielinski to become a West Ham player, but Napoli are already eyeing replacements.
Napoli want Giovani Lo Celso
West Ham signing Zielinski may open up the possibility of an unwanted Tottenham player moving on.
Area Napoli report that Napoli have picked out Giovani Lo Celso as the man they would want to sign if Zielinski joins West Ham.
Lo Celso has no future at Tottenham and was even left out of their pre-season tour to South Korea earlier this month.
The Argentinian was a big signing under Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 as Tottenham agreed to a total package worth around £42million; £15million for a loan, £27million for a permanent deal.

Lo Celso initially impressed, showing poise and silky dribbling ability whether it was out wide or as a number 10.
Yet the end product just wasn’t there and Antonio Conte seemingly lost trust in the Argentinian in January, leaving him out of the trip to Chelsea.
A loan to Villarreal materialised shortly after, and whilst Lo Celso impressed in Spain, Villarreal haven’t been able to secure a permanent deal.
That means Napoli can now swoop in for Lo Celso with Tottenham unlikely to put up much resistance.
Lo Celso would be available for just over half of Napoli’s desired fee for Zielinski, so the deal makes some sense for all parties.
Tottenham may now be in a surprise situation of hoping that West Ham make a big signing – just so they can offload an unwanted player of their own.
