Sassuolo attacker Giacomo Raspadori has reportedly agreed to sign for Napoli amid interest from West Ham, who are close to bringing the 22-year-old’s forward partner Gianluca Scamacca to east London.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli have reached a verbal agreement with Raspadori over a potential transfer, however, with Scamacca seemingly on the verge of signing for West Ham, Sassuolo are unwilling to allow their other superstar forward to leave in the same window.
As per the report, Sassuolo value Raspadori at €30m (£25m), however, even if Napoli are to meet this valuation for the Italian international, their Serie A rivals will not grant a sale given how likely it is that Scamacca leaves the Emilia-Romagna side in the coming days.
Reports suggest that a deal to bring the 23-year-old striker to the London Stadium is close to being announced, with the Hammers this weekend agreeing a deal with Sassuolo for Scamacca, who is set to join the Premier League side for £30m, yet West Ham now could also miss out on Raspadori.
David Moyes has been linked with a move for the attacking prospect this summer, yet with Napoli now having an agreement in principle to sign Raspadori, West Ham now look to have missed out on signing the talented forward, who could have reunited with Scamacca in the English capital.
Indeed, whilst Raspadori and Scamacca are two different forwards, the pair worked brilliantly for Sassuolo last season, and although West Ham are arguably signing the better of the two players, the duo could have been a fantastic attacking force for the Hammers next season.

Based on West Ham’s style of play, a towering attacker like Scamacca makes more sense as a summer signing than Raspadori, and if Napoli do manage to land the Sassuolo forward, the Irons shouldn’t feel too bad about missing out on the younger of the two strikers.
After all, Scamacca suits Moyes’ brand of attacking football to a tee, and West Ham are getting a good deal for the Italian international at £30m, who could finally be the Irons’ long-term solution to their centre-forward problems that have plagued the club for years.
