Juventus will move for Manchester United attacker and Tottenham target Anthony Martial if they fail to sign Alvaro Morata, who is still on Arsenal’s radar according to recent reports.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Italian giants Massimiliano Allegri is looking for striker that will be willing to rotate with Dusan Vlahovic next season, with Juventus failing to sign Morata on a permanent deal at the end of last campaign as Atletico Madrid were unwilling to lower their asking price for the Spaniard.

Whilst Juventus still want to sign Morata, a move is looking more unlikely by the day, especially with reports that Arsenal remain interested in the former Chelsea attacker, and this has caused the Serie A side to look at alternative targets, with Martial now on their list.

The £58m United star has impressed in pre-season under Erik Ten Hag, with Martial bagging three goals in four fixtures under the new Red Devils manager, an early sign that the Frenchman could actually be used next season despite strong reports that the attacker wants to leave Old Trafford.

Martial was reportedly offered to Tottenham in January but the player himself rejected a move to north London, with Sevilla instead signing the forward on loan for the remainder of the season, a move that was a complete disaster for the Red Devils no. 9, who Juventus could now move for in the coming weeks.

Indeed, it is unlikely that Arsenal will sign Morata given their addition of Gabriel Jesus earlier in the window, meaning that Juventus could have a free shot at trying to haggle with Atletico for their 29-year-old striker, though Martial could now be the more appealing option.

Morata has been an impressive performer for Juventus over his two spells at the club, but with Martial seemingly still available and in his best form for a very long time, signing the United star over the Atletico outcast could be a smart move from the Serie A giants this summer.

The Italian division could be perfect for a player of Martial’s explosive athleticism, and with Juventus eager to sign an extra attacker, the Frenchman himself could be open to a move to Turin, especially with UEFA Champions League football on offer for the 26-year-old.
