Eintracht Frankfurt could revive their interest in a transfer for Rangers target Ridvan Yilmaz of Besiktas should West Ham United buy Filip Kostic from the Bundesliga side this summer.

That’s according to Kicker, who note Die Adler have received an official bid from the Irons for Kostic’s services. The Serbia international will also expect to get a pay rise if he accepts a switch to the London Stadium, and passes up on an adventure in the Champions League.

Kostic’s departure from Deutsche Bank Park would force Eintracht Frankfurt to fill the void in head coach Oliver Glasner’s side. So, club chiefs at the Hesse outfit are considering a bid for Yilmaz, having had the 21-year-old’s name on their radar throughout the summer sales.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest in Yilmaz joining Glasner’s squad from Besiktas this year had gone cold against competition from Rangers. The Gers have shown an intent desire to take the left-back to Ibrox and boast an exciting prospect on their books for the new campaign.

But with Kostic appearing ever closer to the exit door amid West Ham’s interest, Eintracht Frankfurt are once more weighing up rivalling Rangers for Yilmaz to head to the Bundesliga as his replacement. Although Die Adler are aware Yilmaz is not a like-for-like heir to Kostic.

Eintracht could rival Rangers interest in Ridvan Yilmaz if West Ham sign Filip Kostic

Rangers will be loath to see Eintracht Frankfurt ramp up their interest, having moved close to a deal with Besiktas for Yilmaz. The Athletic claim the Turkey defender is ready to move to Ibrox against the clubs from the Bundesliga and Serie A currently exploring his services.

Reports by Aksam also note the Premiership giants have submitted a €6m (£5m) offer, but Besiktas do not appreciate the add-ons. The Super Lig outfit have demanded that the Gers submit an offer with different conditions needed to active the agreed upon bonus clauses.

Eintracht Frankfurt could eclipse the terms Rangers offer Besiktas for Yilmaz with the funds West Ham will pay for Kostic. Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg notes the Irons bid in excess of €15m (£12.5m), but The Guardian note Die Adler set a €20m (£17m) price tag.
