Newcastle United want Jack Harrison and do actually believe they can tempt him away from Leeds United this summer.

The Magpies are now focusing on signing attacking talent after landing Nick Pope, Sven Botman and Matt Targett for their back line.

Wingers and strikers are being linked with Newcastle every day but securing deals is proving to be rather tricky.

Alexander Isak and Moussa Diaby seemingly won’t be joining as the money involved is just beyond what Newcastle want to pay.

Hugo Ekitike has chosen Paris Saint-Germain over Newcastle and the Magpies are scrambling for other targets.

Newcastle United want Jack Harrison

Newcastle continue to be linked with a move for Leeds winger Jack Harrison.

The Daily Mail report that Eddie Howe is a big fan of Harrison and loves both his work rate and attitude.

Howe seemingly wants those qualities at Newcastle but convincing Leeds to sell won’t be easy.

Leeds just sold their star winger Raphinha to Barcelona and whilst Luis Sinisterra has come in, selling another wide man just isn’t in their plans.

The Athletic claim that Leeds want around £35million for Harrison but Newcastle will only go up to £25million for the former Manchester City man.

Newcastle have so far only offered £17million for Harrison – around half the asking price.

Leeds certainly won’t sell for that price but it’s suggested that Newcastle really believe they can tempt Harrison into making the move to St James’ Park.

That won’t mean much if Newcastle don’t increase their bid though and they have a long, long way to go before reaching Leeds’ asking price.

Harrison, 25, hit eight goals and one assist in 35 Premier League outings last season, with Newcastle seemingly feeling that he can provide a real attacking spark.

Leeds want to keep hold of the winger but Newcastle’s desperation for attacking signings may just tempt them into pushing closer to the demands for Harrison.
