Leeds United are hoping that they will be able to convince Arsenal target Charles De Ketelaere to move to Elland Road instead of to AC Milan, according to The Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail have reported that Leeds hope that the lure of the Premier League would see him snub a move to Milan and switch to Elland Road.

Jesse Marsch’s side have made a bid of £31 million to Club Brugge for the 21-year-old, while Milan are offering £27 million.

The Belgium international reportedly prefers a transfer to San Siro.

Italian outlet CMW claimed this month that Arsenal and Lyon are keen on the 21-year-old forward, while Southampton have also been linked with the youngster and so have Everton.

Charles De Ketelaere would be a coup for Leeds United

In our view, if Leeds United are able to sign Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge in the summer transfer window, then it would be a coup for them.

AC Milan and Arsenal are massive clubs and global brands.

Now, of course, we know that Leeds are a big club, but they just about managed to stay in the Premier League last season.

Milan won the Serie A title last season and can offer the Belgian – who scored 14 goals in the Jupiler Pro League for Club Brugge last season – the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal will play in the UEFA Europa League next season and will also be looking to finish in the Premier League top four.
