Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe is returning to Spurs to become a coach at the North London club’s academy, according to The London Evening Standard.

The report published this morning has claimed that Defoe will become an academy coach at Tottenham.
The former Rangers and Sunderland striker will take up his first coaching job in the Tottenham academy from next month, according to the report.
Defoe is very popular among the Tottenham fans, having scored 143 goals in 363 appearances in two spells at Spurs (The London Evening Standard).
The London Evening Standard have added that former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has been handed a full-time position at the Tottenham academy after initially joining the club on a part-time basis in December.
