David Moyes’s West Ham United could still sign Newcastle United target and Chelsea striker Armando Broja after agreeing a deal with Sassuolo for Gianluca Scamacca, according to The Sun.

The Sun have reported that West Ham have agreed a £30.5 million deal with Sassuolo for Italy international striker Scamacca in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers have agreed personal terms with Scamacca, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Sun have reported that although ‘Scamacca was always the primary target’ for Moyes, Broja is also on the shortlist of the West Ham manager and could still arrive at London Stadium before the summer transfer window closes.

This will come as a blow for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, who have been linked with Broja as well.

The Guardian reported last week that Newcastle are among the clubs keen on signing the Chelsea and Albania international striker, described as “a really, really exciting talent” by former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League in February 2022.
