PSG are this week reportedly looking to wrap up the signings of Nordi Mukiele and Renato Sanches, two players who have been linked to Arsenal and Tottenham this summer.

According to L’Equipe, the French champions are aiming to complete both signings by Wednesday, with both players set to sign for PSG for a combined £25m in total as Mukiele prepares to join on loan whilst Sanches will arrive from Ligue 1 rivals LOSC Lille.

As per the Daily Mail, PSG will sign Mukiele on loan with an obligation to buy next summer for £13m, whilst Sanches, who is still not yet a done deal, is expected to sign for a reported £12m according to L’Equipe, two deals that will infuriate Arsenal and Tottenham, who have been chasing the pair this summer.

Spurs were reportedly offered the chance to sign Mukiele earlier in the window, though Antonio Conte rejected the proposal, instead choosing to sign Djed Spence from Middlesbrough, whilst Arsenal have been chasing Sanches for well over 12 months, with technical director Edu Gaspar rumoured to be a huge fan of the midfielder.

Indeed, both players would have been welcome additions to either north London side, especially Sanches at Arsenal, with the Gunners still looking for an extra central midfielder following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.

For PSG, though, the arrivals of Mukiele and Sanches mark the real arrival of Christophe Galtier as manager of the club, with these two signings reflecting what the French coach and sporting director Luis Campos want to achieve with the reigning Ligue 1 title winners.

As mentioned, Galtier has been appointed by PSG to take the club in a new direction, no longer fueled by superstar players and instead made of genuine talents who can push the French giants to the top of the European game for many years to come, which is what makes the arrivals of Mukiele and Sanches so exciting.

Of course, Arsenal and Tottenham will be infuriated that PSG have won the race to sign two players linked with the north London duo, yet for the Parisians themselves, Mukiele and Sanches mark the true start of the Galtier era, one that could finally catapult the French side to success in Europe.
