Fulham are willing to pay Arsenal £7 million in transfer fees for goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook (11:43am, July 25, 2022).

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Arsenal want £10 million for Leno, but Fulham – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship – are willing to pay £7 million for the £100,000-a-week (SalarySport) Germany international goalkeeper.

Crook said on talkSPORT (11:43am, July 25, 2022): “The fee that Arsenal want for Leno is £10 million. At the moment Fulham have only gone as high as £7m.”

Arsenal should reduce Bernd Leno asking price for Fulham

In our view, if Arsenal want to offload Bernd Leno in the summer transfer window, then they should reduce their asking price and let Fulham have him for £7 million.

Fulham are already reportedly looking at signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto if they are unable to bring Leno to Craven Cottage this summer.

So, the Cottagers do have a back-up plan.

If Fulham do sign Neto this summer, then Arsenal would miss out on the £7 million transfer fee that they would get for Leno.

Arsenal do not need Leno, and getting £7 million for a squad player is not a bad deal.

Leno himself would like to play regularly next season, and Arsenal should try to facilitate a move for the German away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
