According to BILD, Orel Mangala is heading to the Premier League, with Crystal Palace, West Ham and Nottingham Forest potential destinations.

What’s the story?

Well, VfB Stuttgart had slapped a £13m price tag on their No.23’s head in an attempt to fend off those interested in his services.

Now, however, it seems as if Crystal Palace, West Ham and Nottingham Forest have all done enough to meet the Bundesliga side’s demands, with Mangala set to choose between the trio in the coming days.

Interest in the Belgium international comes after he made 29 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring one goal while also providing four assists for the German outfit.

West Ham have identified Mangala as a potential alternative to his fellow Belgian Amadou Onana, who they are having trouble pursuing despite offering Lille £30m for his signature.

In Crystal Palace’s case, Patrick Vieira may also be targeting the VfB Stuttgart maestro as an alternative to Morgan Gibbs-White, who became a target for the Eagles after they lost out on Flynn Downes to West Ham.

Intriguingly, Nottingham Forest have actually bid £9m for Mangala already, and in our view, they seem to have the most interest in signing the Belgian as a result.

Orel Mangala should choose Crystal Palace over West Ham or Nottingham Forest

In our view, Mangala should choose Selhurst Park as his next destination, instead of a move to the London Stadium or the City Ground.

Why? Well, Vieira is in south London, a man who was one of the best midfielders of his generation, and arguably one of the greatest to have played the game.

If BILD are to be trusted, Mangala now has the chance to work directly under the Frenchman, which could be too good to refuse.

Of course, David Moyes and Steve Cooper are excellent coaches, but the presence of Vieira would sway us to SE25 if we were in Mangala’s shoes.

As BILD state, the Belgian should make a decision in the coming days, so make sure to keep an eye on the situation.
