Kevin Campbell has claimed that he is ‘not sure’ Arsenal will be able to sign Bayern Munich winger, Leroy Sane, as he told the Highbury Squad.

The Germany international was sold by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for £55 million in 2020 (Sky Sports), but Campbell thinks Leroy Sane is a ‘real, real good player’.

Serge Gnabry’s name popped up on Arsenal’s transfer radar this summer, before the former Gunners penned a new deal at the German champions.

With Sadio Mane joining Bayern this summer, it does raise the question as to whether Sane’s minutes at the Allianz will be reduced.

But with those Sane rumours emerging, Campbell hinted that he would like a player of his ilk, but he doesn’t think it’s going to happen.

On what more he wants from Arsenal this summer: “A big striker, but I can’t see it happening,” said Campbell. “So, I am not even going to go there.

“I still think it could be two in midfield and a winger. We have been linked with Sane, haven’t we?! And stuff like that. He is a real, real good player. Not sure whether or not we will get him.”

WHO ELSE WILL ARSENAL SIGN?

It’s not been confirmed by Arsenal yet, but Oleksandr Zinchenko is on his way to the USA to join up with his new club and teammates.

When that deal is signed, sealed and delivered, then it will be transfer number five for the north London club, including a number of players that have dropped from playing for teams in the Champions League to one in the Europa League.

That just goes to show the pulling power England’s third most successful club still has, but who else will Arteta add to his young and ever-improving squad?

In most areas, the team is bulked up, it’s a case of making other areas stronger and possibly adding one more superstar name to their ranks.

Somone like Sane would walk into Arsenal’s team, but would he leave the comfort of Germany and playing for the best team in the land to move to the Emirates?
