New For Honor Medjay Hero In-Game Meaning & Release Date

According to the University of Chicago, The term Medjay was historically used to describe a semi-nomadic people in the eastern deserts of Egypt, sometimes referred to as the Pan-Grave Culture.

An excerpt from the official site reads: “They (The Medjay) are mentioned as early as 2400 BC, when Egyptian texts recorded them as warriors serving with the Egyptian military…

“Their role serving the forces of authority was so enduring that by the time of the Egyptian New Kingdom, the name Medjay had become a word for police of any ethnic or cultural background.”

A song travels across the sands, across the seas to Heathmoor… Be sure to tune in to Warrior’s Den on July 21 at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CEST to find out more! https://t.co/5ZomfvqSYi pic.twitter.com/xhjcgkDVIu— For Honor (@ForHonorGame) July 19, 2022

The For Honor Medjay Hero coming to the game later this month has been named Neferkha and is described as the last descendant of Pharaohs. Neferkha enters the game at Heathmoor to retrieve the Scarab Bracelet relic stolen by Viking Jarl Bolthorn at the beginning of Year 6 Season 2.

This brought a curse upon the land, and fortunately, the Medjay could end it. Neferkha is described as having a Fan Axe and a Dual-Wielding Axe, making him useful in group battles and one-on-one combat. It should also be noted that the Medjay is the second Outlander to join For Honor’s roster after the Pirate, and will be the first Egyptian Hero in the game.

Ubisoft has also confirmed that the For Honor release date for The Medjay Hero has been set for July 28, which is when players will be able to purchase a package that also includes an exclusive ornament, an Elite outfit, seven days of Champion Status, and three scavenger crates. If you’re not planning on splashing any cash, gamers will have to wait until August 11 and spend 15,000 Steel.
