Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave 2 Reveal Hopes Boosted Following Ad Find
Fans hope that a random find in Japan might point to an impending Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave 2 Booster Pack reveal coming soon.
As usual, fans should know that Nintendo has not shared a Switch release date for its upcoming course expansion, and therefore, all unofficial discoveries and rumours should be taken with a big pinch of salt.
But even while we wait for official news, fans are hoping a new find might point to a reveal happening later this month for the popular Nintendo title.

Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave 2 Reveal Hopes Raised
A new advert spotted in Japan has boosted hopes among fans that a new Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave 2 reveal will happen sometime this week. The connection, as shared by TheGamer, is based on a Japanese 7-Eleven advert that will reportedly be taken down this week. The poster covers the first wave of tracks, which could mean that it will soon be out of date.
While this might sound a bit far-fetched, something similar happened in the past with Smash Bros posters and their removal and replacement before the Banjo Kazooie reveal.
Another set of posters, this time reportedly coming to Gamestop, have also raised hopes that Nintendo will soon be advertising Mario Kart Course Passes. However, it should be noted that the posters in question are not public yet, and Nintendo could choose to release its latest Mario Kart 8 DLC much later in 2022.

As shared by Nintendo earlier this year, a total of 48 remastered courses from throughout the Mario Kart franchise are coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as paid DLC.
Crucially, Nintendo confirms that content will release in 6 waves of 8 courses from March 18, 2022, until the end of 2023, meaning that there is still plenty of time for Wave 2 to be announced and launched in 2022.
These new courses can be purchased via the Course Pass, or can be accessed using existing services, with Nintendo confirming earlier this year: “Racers who have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership will have access to all of these newly-added courses as they are released at no additional cost. Non-members can access the courses as they are released by purchasing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe — Booster Course Pass on its own from Nintendo eShop.”
