Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix has officially joined Twitter and fans are ecstatic. Months after announcing a hiatus from the popular British girl band, it seems that one-third of Little Mix is gearing up for a new solo career.

In December 2021, Little Mix announced the trio would be taking a hiatus after a decade together. The decision came so Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock had the chance of “pursuing solo projects”. But it allowed room for the group to reunite together in the future.

Six months later, Leigh-Anne Pinnock opened her Twitter account and even made her first interactions with Mixers. Does that mean that fans will be getting a touch of her music?

Welcome to Twitter, Leigh-Anne!

While in the past Perrie, Jade, Leigh-Anne (and previously Jesy Nelson) used a combined Twitter account to communicate with their fans, it seems that now Leigh-Anne has begun her solo era by creating her own username.

On July 19, the 30-year-old English singer surprised her fans out of the blue. However, it seems the username @LeighAnneMusic has been active since April 2021 but published its first tweet yesterday.

“Is this thing on? ,” she wrote. It has already gathered more than 51.5k likes and the singer reached the 45.4k follower mark in under 24 hours. She’s got the power, for sure.

Signing record deal

Earlier this year, Leigh-Anne signed with a major record label deal under Warner Music, making the 30-year-old singer became the first member of the Little Mix trio (without Jesy) to secure a solo project. It comes just under a year after giving birth to twins and six months after announcing a break from the band. However, Jesy Nelson did sign with Republic Records in 2021 after leaving the band the previous winter.

While the release date of her solo project is still unknown, the I Say A Little Prayer singer left fans over the moon after teasing that new music was in the works. It appears it needs “just a touch” more before it releases.

Leigh-Anne’s impromptu beginning on the social media app sparked attention as fans were prepping themselves for a new era of the well-known singer. Many left comments of excitement, as they wait for a drop anytime.

Little Mix’s emotional last show (for now)

Though the three girls announced the group would be taking a hiatus after their Confetti tour ended, Little Mix still had various concerts to perform. The trio worked their magic in the final days until Perrie, Jade, and Leigh-Anne said their temporary farewells.

On May 14, 2022, Little Mix’s Confetti tour came to an end after they held their last show at London’s 02 Arena. The night was even more memorable for the Brits as they ended their 10-year career as a group on hometurf.

While Perrie burst into tears minutes before starting the show, Little Mix gave an outstanding and unforgettable night. Fans sang along to their songs from beginning to end.

Followers from around the world were able to join the thousands of fans at the O2 Arena as the girl band live-streamed the entire concert via Dreamstage. As per many reports, more than 200,000 viewers tuned in to the special night.

Perrie, Jade, and Leigh-Anne then promised fans that the girl group would return and it was just “for now”.
