Jose Mourinho has got his man! Paulo Dybala is a Roma player, after months of rumours that a host of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, were keen to sign him.

Even when Mourinho was in Tottenham’s dugout, a player like Dybala, whose contract at Juventus expired last month, was being linked with the north London club.

But what is Tottenham and Arsenal’s possible loss is going to be a gain for Roma, with the Europa Conference League champions hoping to cause a few upsets in Serie A next season.

When Dybala posted about his move on Instagram, Radamel Falcao, Claudio Marchisio, Patrick Kluivert, Vinicius Jr and Joao Cancelo were just some of the players reacting to his move.

Juventus legend Marchisio told him ‘Good luck my friend, except against us’, whilst Falcao added ‘let’s go’ and the Kluivert wished him the South American ‘world-class’ star ‘good luck’.

WILL DYBALA PLAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE?

For so many years, the 28-year-old’s name has been linked to teams in England, but instead, he has opted to make a name for himself in Italy.

Given his age and most recent move, it probably signals the end of his chances of joining a team in the Premier League down the line, mainly because he probably doesn’t want that change in lifestyle and he is very happy in Italy.

Either way, it is a crying shame that a player of his ability, who has stagnated in recent times, won’t be bringing his goalscoring talents to English football.

But Mourinho is now building quite the team in Rome, as returning to the Champions League will be the first aim, and dare it be said, possibly winning the Serie A title.

You can bet your bottom dollar that a man like Mourinho will be doing everything in his power to push for the title and Dybala’s arrival will certainly help his cause.
