Speaking to JOE, Jamie Carragher has been discussing his ongoing mini-feud with Richarlison.

The Liverpool legend rubbed the former Everton star up the wrong way last season after critiquing his supposed diving on Sky Sports, but after Everton secured Premier League survival, the attacker bit back.

The Brazilian took to Twitter, telling Carragher that he didn’t respect him, and now, Carragher has given his view on the matter.

The pundit says his respect for the Brazilian has gone up since he made that tweet, but he reiterated just how much he dislikes Richarlison’s simulation.

What’s been said?

Carragher spoke about Richarlison.

“He’s gone for me a couple of times and I think a lot more of him now when he came back at me a couple of times. I think he’s a good player, but I can’t stand it, there’s a difference between diving and feigning injury,” Carragher said.

“It’s the going down when he’s not hurt, if you go down to try to get a free-kick and don’t get it, get up and get on with the game. He’s holding somewhere he’s not been hit and I’d had enough of it. I guarantee you Everton fans when they play Tottenham this season will be saying the same if Richarlison carries on with that.”

Frustrating

We must admit, it’s frustrating to watch Richarlison when he’s up to his tricks.

Of course, Everton fans loved it over the past few years as it benefitted their team, but as Carragher says, they may well turn on him when Spurs visit Goodison Park this season.

Richarlison is just one of those players, you’d love to have him on your team, but you’d hate to play against him, and we’re sure that there are many opposition fans who feel the same way as Carragher.
