John Stones has labelled Oleksandr Zinchenko as an ‘incredible’ person on Instagram and told him that he wishes him ‘happiness in your new adventure’.

Arsenal fans have already got a taster of what Zinchenko is all about when they saw him in action for 45 minutes during their 4-0 pre-season thrashing of Chelsea in America.

With Kieran Tierney still out injured, Mikel Arteta used his £32 million summer signing (Sky Sports) as a left-back, but given his versatility, he will and can play more roles.

At the Etihad, just like Gabriel Jesus, the 25-year-old was a multiple winner and a player Pep Guardiola liked to use when the big games came about.

It’s your teammates who go to war with you and experience those high moments and low moments, as Stones sent this warming message to Zinchenko yesterday.

CAN ZINCHENKO CHANGE ARSENAL’S MINDSET?

From a quality perspective, there is no doubt Zinchenko will raise those levels and improve Arsenal in many areas.

Not only that, but he will also relax the supporters and the coaching staff because he is more than capable of doing a job at left-back.

Tierney is still on the sidelines, and with the new Premier League season weeks away, fans would normally fret that he’s not ready, but there’s no issue now because Zinchenko is on their books.

But can he improve the club’s mentality, especially during the crunch moments of the season? Because that’s one area that has hit them like a ton of bricks.

Come next season, when you are in March and April, those crunch moments, Arteta and his side will face a tricky away trip, more than likely in an evening, where it could affect their top-four chances, that’s when players like Zinchenko and Jesus come into play…. Or Arteta hopes.
