Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that he would ‘sell’ Liverpool and Arsenal transfer target, Carney Chukwuemeka, this summer if he is ‘asking for too much money’ at Aston Villa, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Villa striker shared that he would ideally like to ‘keep’ the midfielder, but with his contract situation in a difficult place and hitting a brick wall, then that might not be possible.
A number of high-profile clubs from around Europe are looking to sign the ‘outstanding’ 18-year-old, who has one-year left on his current deal, including Premier League duo, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Given what is going on with Chukwuemeka’s contract situation, Steven Gerrard opted to leave him at home during Villa’s pre-season tour of Australia – that call in itself tells you everything about where this situation could be headed.
Nonetheless, when Agbonlahor was asked about whether he would ‘keep or sell’ Chukwuemeka, he issued this blunt response.
“I would say keep,” said Agbonlahor. “But the problem is the wages and what he is asking for. Aston Villa have got to stick to their guns.
“If he is asking for too much money, then I would say sell because he hasn’t earnt the right to earn top money yet.”

VILLA SHOULDN’T BOWN DOWN TO CHUKWUEMEKA’S DEMANDS
There’s no doubting that Chukwuemeka is a top talent, and at 16 he as dubbed the best of his age group, but no club should bow down to an 18-year-old’s demands, especially one that has hardly played first-team football.
The badge in front is far more important than the name at the back and if Villa have to sell a top-rated talent in Chukwuemeka, as a result of it, then so be it.
The ice-cool midfielder, who is pretty strong on the ball for his age and can glide across the pitch, can earn the regular minutes and big-money wages elsewhere if he feels Villa aren’t prepared to offer what he wants.
