Jurgen Klopp has shared that he takes interest in what other teams do and shared that Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer business this summer ‘makes sense’, as the Liverpool boss told Sky Sports.

Last season, Spurs held Liverpool in the Premier League, both home and away, as Klopp added that Antonio Conte’s side are headed in the ‘right direction’.

It’s Champions League football for the north London club heading into the new Premier League season and fans will be hoping for a possible push towards the top two.

Can Spurs close that gap to Liverpool and Manchester City? Well, they certainly have two forwards who can cause havoc against any team and a manager that can turn coal into a diamond.

Nonetheless, this is what Klopp had to say about Tottenham’s transfer business, before he was asked about whether he takes interest in what other clubs are doing, including Conte’s side.

“No, no, I am interested in football and I am interested in the Premier League,” said Klopp. “Of course, I see it.

“I can’t say anybody made a massive mistake in the transfer market and then I sat at home and I said ‘thank God they took him’. That didn’t happen yet.

“Of course, Tottenham going in the right direction. It was clear, last year you could see the signings that they have made. They make absolute sense.”

CAN TOTTENHAM CATCH LIVERPOOL?

Chelsea were the ones who finished third last season, and added with their Champions League triumph the season before, some would probably back them to close the gap on the Premier League’s top two.

But, not only do Spurs have a trophy-laden and world-class coach in their dugout now, but he is also being backed by those upstairs.

That makes Tottenham pretty dangerous heading into the new season, especially given that Kane scored 17 Premier League last time out and he struggled during the first half of the campaign.

Then there is Heung Min-son who, along with Mo Salah, ended the season with the Golden Boot award and 23 goals to his name.

Either way, when it comes to Daniel Levy backing his man in the dugout, the fans, nor Conte can moan because the money has been spent and the players brought in, with probably more to come.
