Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Harry Kane ‘won’t be leaving’ Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich this summer, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Aston Villa player added that Bayern is a ‘fantastic club’ and Kane would fit the role at the German champions ‘perfectly’, but he still won’t leave.

This forthcoming season is one of the most exciting for Spurs fans because they feel they can now win something under Antonio Conte.

Talk from the likes of Oliver Kahn and Julian Nagelsmann of late hasn’t helped, with the Bayern duo expressing their interest in the England captain.

Nonetheless, despite all of that talk, Agbonlahor made it clear, with Champions League football back in north London and Conte in the dugout, Kane won’t be going anywhere.

“No, not at all (Kane won’t be unsettled by Bayern talk),” said Agbonlahor. “Bayern are a fantastic club and with a rich history.

“Harry Kane is not leaving Spurs. They just got into the Champions League. He’s going to beat that record by Alan Shearer. I don’t see him leaving the Premier League to leave the Bundesliga, as good as Bayern Munich are as a team.

“It’s not going to unsettle Harry Kane. I feel like Antonio Conte will be like ‘I want players that every team wants’, so Kane won’t be moving to the Bundesliga.

“He is just being honest (Nagelsmann’s comments). I feel like we want managers and players to be honest. What manager in the world wouldn’t want Harry Kane in their team? He fits the perfect role for Bayern. They have just lost Lewandowski. Manchester United should also be speaking like this about Harry Kane.

“But I think he is happy with Conte. Champions League football and you want to stay in the Premier League.”

KANE’S TOTTENHAM CONTRACT

Bayern may have lost Robert Lewandowski, but they won’t be getting Kane just like that because of how well Spurs are doing, but most importantly, they have to deal with a certain, Daniel Levy.

The interesting part with all of this is Kane’s current contract – it has two-years left to run – will he sign a new deal?

If the England hitman does that, then it ends all talk about his future, but if he still has one-year left to run next summer, added with no trophies, then this Bayern talk will only heat up.

A lot of this boils down to what Tottenham do next season and if Conte is here for the long run, and as things stand, there are no signs that fans should be worried about Kane’s future.

Whilst things went very well under Mauricio Pochettino, this is now their best chance of adding some silverware to their cabinet.
