Omari Hutchinson has long been touted as a future star of Arsenal.

Bursting onto the scene as a 12-year-old when a highlights video went viral on YouTube, there have been high hopes for Hutchinson at the Emirates for many years now.

After shining for the U23s last term, the winger was expected to continue developing into a star in north London, but last week he made the bombshell decision to swap Arsenal for Chelsea.

As you may imagine, a number of Arsenal supporters were cut up by Hutchinson’s decision to swap red for blue, and there has been something of an uproar on social media.

Losing such a talented youngster is obviously a massive blow for the Gunners, but, in our view, there’s another Premier League youngster Arsenal shoud be more upset about losing.

We’re talking about Leeds United’s Sam Greenwood.

Originally coming through as a striker at Arsenal, Greenwood made the move to Leeds in 2020, and since then, he hasn’t looked back.

Indeed, Greenwood has been absolutely brilliant for Leeds’ youth teams since joining the Whites, and he’s now beginning to make an impact at senior level.

Described as having ‘huge potential’ by Leeds’ CEO Angus Kinnear, Greenwood is developing at quite some pace at Elland Road.

Leeds headed into their final game of last season needing a win in order to remain in the Premier League, and despite being just 20 years old, Greenwood was trusted to start against Brentford that day.

In the most high-pressure situation imaginable, Greenwood kept his head and played an absolute blinder.

He ran the show in the midfield, and if it weren’t for an incredibly tight VAR call he would have had a crucial assist in the first half.

A free-kick specialist and an incredible ball-striker, Greenwood looks like he has all the ability to be a truly A-grade Premier League player one day, but sadly, Arsenal let him go when he was just a teenager.

Arsenal fans may be down about Hutchinson at the moment, but, in our view, Greenwood could leave the Gunners with the most regrets in years to come.
