Andy Brassell has claimed that Bayern Munich feel that Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, would ‘fit them perfectly’, as he told Sky Sports.

The European expert added that for Bayern to publicly express such interest in the Tottenham hitman is ‘different’ from the club.

Kane has two-years left on his current Spurs deal, and whilst there was a lot of noise last summer regarding Manchester City, all things point towards the player being happy now.

But that hasn’t stopped a number of high-profile individuals from speaking about Kane, including Bayern CEO, Oliver Kahn, who claimed that it would be his ‘dream’ to sign the Premier League star.

And now European football journalist Brassell has reacted to the German champions being keen on Kane and the tactics they have seemingly employed.

“He is someone they think would fit them perfectly,” said Brassell’s. “Obviously, he is one of the greatest strikers in the world and one of the number nine’s who could really replace Robert Lewandowski.

“He’s reaching that contract crunch time. They want to see if he would really be interested. They have been no real indications as to whether he would be or not, at the moment.

“But I think it’s interesting that (Oliver) Kahn has already said a couple of weeks back that he has never denied Kane would interest him.

“For Bayern to go there and say ‘we would actually make a move for him’ is something a bit different. But, the big question is, would Kane be interested?”

ANTONIO CONTE IS THE KEY

From the perspective of Tottenham fans, this is where so much hope and faith lies in one man and their dream that he can deliver the goods for them next season.

The Italian secured Champions League football when the north London outfit were on the back foot for large periods of time.

He has already proved his worth at other clubs, by winning trophy after trophy, but can he do it at Hotspur Way? If he does, then it will probably be the best job he has done.

Added with that, all this Kane talk will end, he will have a trophy or trophies to his name, and he can then kick on and enhance his legacy even further.

Whatever does or doesn’t happen, one thing is for sure, this is the best chance Spurs are going to get in a very long time to win a trophy or two.
