Kim Kardashian recently took to Twitter and wrote ‘Free Gunna’ showing support to the presently incarcerated rapper.

Besides her multiple successful businesses, Kim is also a criminal justice reform advocate. The 41-year-old SKIMS founder has helped free multiple people from prison.

Hence, Kim’s tweet showing support to rapper Gunna has given his fans hope for the 29-year-old artist’s release.

Meaning of Free Gunna after Kim Kardashian tweet

Kim tweeted the hashtag Free Gunna on July 20. The Kardashians star also added emojis saying “Free P” referencing the rapper’s song “Pushin P.”

For the unversed Free Gunna is a social media hashtag started by the rapper’s fans and supporters who want to get him freed from prison.

On July 7, TMZ reported that the rapper was denied bond for the second time in his ongoing Young Stoner Life RICO case. The Banking On Me singer will be held in Georgia jail until January when his case is set to go on trial.

Rapper Gunna whose real name is Sergio Giavanni Kitchens was charged with racketeering alongside fellow rapper Young Thug and more than two dozen other people.

Gunna has pleaded not guilty to the allegations. He also penned an open letter about the U.S. Constitution on his birthday (June 14).

Most fans urged and even believed that the criminal justice reform advocate would be the one to free the rapper.

Kim helped released multiple people from prison

Kim who has been on the journey of becoming a lawyer for the past few years has also worked to free a lot of people from their prison sentences.

The most well-known person Kim freed was Alice Marie Johnson in 2018. The (then) 64-year-old woman was released from prison after 19 years, thanks to Kim’s campaign.

Kim helped free Crystal Munoz and 16 other women by funding a 90 Days of Freedom Campaign.

The mother of four also helped free Momolu Stewart, a 39-year-old woman released after serving more than 23 years.
