West Ham United want new signings but David Moyes has admitted some frustration over his attempts to add to the squad.
The Hammers aren’t exactly having Tottenham’s 2018 summer transfer window – they have at least made some signings.
Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has signed permanently after impressing Moyes during a season-long loan spell last summer.
Defender Nayef Aguerd has joined from Rennes and midfielder Flynn Downes has made a dream move from Swansea City.
West Ham clearly need more though if they are to crack the top six, with Moyes maybe a touch frustrated.
West Ham United want new signings
The Hammers have been going for some big signings but they haven’t quite come off yet.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja is a top target and whilst reports suggested a deal was close, Thomas Tuchel doesn’t think he will be sold.
A £32.5million bid has gone in for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, but West Ham are still waiting for an answer after two rejected bids.
Jesse Lingard seemed to be a prime target but is now having a medical at Nottingham Forest instead.
You can see why West Ham fans and even Moyes himself are becoming frustrated, with top targets lined up but not yet getting over the line.

Moyes has now commented on his transfer situation, telling West Ham’s official website that signings are ‘quite difficult’ at the moment.
Moyes is clearly trying to get players in but it’s just proving so difficult to get deals over the line amid chases of Broja, Onana and Lingard.
The Scot added that West Ham’s performance in the 3-1 pre-season defeat to Rangers shows that the Hammers desperately need signings in quickly ahead of the new Premier League season.
“Getting them in at the moment is seeming quite difficult but by watching what I’ve seen in the opening games we need to add very quickly to the squad of players we’ve got,” said Moyes.
Lingard appears to be heading elsewhere, but Moyes will still hold out hope of two big deals for Broja and Onana to take West Ham forward.
