Gilberto Silva has claimed that Oleksandr Zinchenko has ‘come to a big club’ following his transfer to Arsenal from Manchester City this summer, as he told Mr Beanyman

The Highbury legend added that Zinchenko is a ‘very good signing’ and a player that is ‘hard-working’, who has ‘quality’ in his locker.

That’s two players Arsenal have signed from Manchester City this summer, with Mikel Arteta using his contacts pretty well – following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus.

Two proven winners and two players that decided to drop from playing Champions League football to repping the Gunners in the Europa League.

They are statements of intent signings and it proves the pull Arsenal still have, as Silva was asked to share his thoughts on Zinchenko’s arrival.

“It’s a good signing,” said Silva. “It’s a very good signing. He’s a very good player and come to a big club.

“I hope that he does a great job. Good luck to him. He’s a hard-working guy with quality. I am sure he’s going to help a lot the club.”

WILL ARTETA ADD TO HIS SQUAD EVEN FURTHER?

Just like last summer, Arteta can’t have any qualms about not being backed by those upstairs because they are giving him what he wants.

It puts even more pressure on his shoulders because the feeling will be that he has to deliver Champions League football now.

Whilst, at the start of last season, Arteta didn’t have a top-four squad, getting pipped to that spot by Spurs probably proved that they messed up, especially given the season Manchester United had.

But this forthcoming campaign is going to be one full of drama and expensive cars trying to secure those Champions League places.

The issue Arsenal will face is that it’s going to be a jam-packed race and one they now can’t afford to mess up.
