Yannick Bolasie has claimed on Twitter that Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka, is ‘too underrated’, after claims by a fan that Lucas Paquetá would do a better job than him.
The former Premier League winger added that Xhaka is ‘too vital’ to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal – he was a regular last season as a two-man pivot, alongside Thomas Partey.
But the club have added a number of players that could possibly dethrone Xhaka from a starting spot this summer – one of them being the more attack-minded Fabio Vieira, but a lot of that depends on how attacking Arteta will want to go in matches.
Then there is the club’s most recent signing, Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is a lot more technical than Xhaka, another left-footer, he can operate at left-back and has a very good defensive brain.
Either way, this was Bolasie’s reaction when a fan suggested that Arsenal would be even better with Lyon midfielder, Paquetá in their side.

IS XHAKA UNDERRATED, NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ARSENAL OR MISUNDERSTOOD?
One thing is for sure, when Xhaka leaves Arsenal, many fans will remember him and his drama-filled tenure at the club because he has entertained.
It’s just a case of, will they remember him for the good times or the bad? And it’s fair to say that he has had a number of headlines during his time in north London.
The 29-year-old did hold the captaincy for a period of time, and whilst Xhaka seems to be a popular figure in the dressing room, that period of time for the player was pretty dark.
But, he has since picked himself up and, with another manager in the Emirates dugout, the yellow card machine is a regular and probably will be again next season.
The great thing for Arteta now is that if Xhaka goes down the road of suspension again, then the levels of performance in the first-team won’t drop because of the depth that has now been added.
