On July 23, NPC promoter Gary Udit revealed that well-known bodybuilder Jerry Ward had suddenly died at the age of 46.

He took to his Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news. “Sadly we lost a terrific friend today with the passing of Jerry Ward. Jerry died suddenly last night” he wrote.

Jerry was in Pittsburgh, serving as the commentator on the Live Stream of NPC’s Teen, Collegiate and Masters Nationals, at the time of his death.

Who was bodybuilder Jerry Ward?

Jerry Ward was a popular 46-year-old bodybuilder, trainer and coach. He was also the owner of Bios3training and GIFD labs.

His Linkedin reveals that he was a Washington DC-Baltimore Area native.

Jerry also served as the head judge for NPC National and IFBB. The bodybuilder’s Instagram reveals that he was also associated with the business Nutrient Solutions, which helps people achieve their desired gains.

Through his businesses Bios3training and GIFD labs, Jerry sold various fitness supplements like multi-vitamins, metabolic stabilizers and more.

He also ran a YouTube channel for Bios3training, where he shared his knowledge about nutrition and more.

What happened to Jerry Ward?

At the time of writing, Jerry’s cause of death has not been officially confirmed, but Rx Muscle’s Dave Palumbo told in a YouTube video on July 24 that the bodybuilder thought he pulled a left rib.

Jerry reportedly thought the injury was caused due to carrying his heavy luggage around.

Dave added that Jerry resorted to getting a chair massage but thought the problem with his rib felt worse after it. He also revealed that Jerry had been complaining about the pain to him.

Rich advised him to visit the doctor, but the bodybuilder decided to sleep it off instead.

The next morning, promoter Gary Udit found that Jerry had passed away.

Jerry posted YouTube video hours before death

On July 22, Jerry posted a YouTube video titled: “Common sense is DEAD!”

The YouTuber addressed the audience’s response to his previous video about Intermittent fasting saying “common sense, deductive reasoning is gone nowadays, there is none.”

The YouTuber went on to share his experience with Intermittent fasting and how he approaches it. He then addressed some of the bizarre comments he received on the previous video.

The video was posted just a few hours before the bodybuilder passed away.
